About the Role
ACME Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Anvil Optimization Engineer to lead next-generation improvements in anvil deployment systems. The successful candidate will focus on increasing target accuracy while significantly reducing rebound-related injuries to end users, bystanders, and the occasional super genius.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize anvils for improved downward trajectory accuracy
- Minimize post-impact rebound, ricochet, and self-inflicted cranial damage
- Conduct live-drop testing from cliffs, tunnels, and improbably high ledges
- Analyze failure modes involving pulleys, magnets, ropes, and timing errors
- Collaborate with Rocket Skates and Catapult Engineering teams
- Produce technical reports moments before catastrophic failure
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Cartoon Logic
- 5+ years experience with gravity-assisted weaponry or heavy falling objects
- Strong understanding of momentum, terminal velocity, and irony
- Ability to work under extreme pressure (literal and figurative)
- Comfortable wearing ACME-issued hard hats (effectiveness not guaranteed)
